What is a subluxation?

Think about your nervous system like the electrical system in your home. When you overwhelm the system with electrical demand, your breaker can blow a fuse and then the whole system shuts down.

Stress builds up in our body, just like those electrical demands. If you become overwhelmed with too much stress, you also can “blow a fuse!”

We call this a subluxation—a spinal misalignment caused by stress that creates neurological interference (a decreased ability for your brain to communicate to your body and optimize healing). “Subluxation” is a term that is used to describe when a joint isn’t working the way it’s supposed to, whether simply not moving how it should or is misaligned. Subluxations can feel like numbness, tingling, pain, and burning—and sometimes you can’t feel them at all.

Get adjusted to make sure your nervous system is functioning at its best! Dr. Renee loves to make sure you stay subluxation free!
