Making the Most of Your Time Off

Vacations are a priority, providing a moment to relax and connect with those we love,  and the time off can be lots of fun… but mentally they can be tough! Here are some tips and tricks to keep your mental health in check on your family vacation:

  • Manage expectations. If vacationing with kids, tell them what’s going to happen and what you expect from them. If they know what’s going on, it’ll be less stressful for everyone!

  • Stick to some routines and don’t overschedule. Can you stick with your normal bedtime routine or breakfast routine? Great! Do that! Only schedule one big thing a day – if you’re too busy running from one thing to the next, you’ll be more concerned about your schedule than actually spending time together.
