Keeping Your Sleep Schedule in Sync During Summer
Summer nights can give us some of the best memories, and getting to bed later can be well worth it— but we don’t want to push our body past the point of being able to fully restore as it needs to. While we highly encourage bonfires and s’mores, taking in the fireworks with family, barbeques, and late night swims; here are a few tips to help you prioritize getting the rest your body requires.
Keep your bedroom at a cool temperature. Research shows that the best temperature for optimal sleep averages around 65 degrees.
Refrain from sugary snacks and beverages close to bedtime.
Keep stress levels low: exercise and meditation can help here!
Continue with consistent chiropractic care to encourage optimal circadian rhythm and nervous system regulation.
Keep the summer fun going, but take the rest you need to be the healthiest version of yourself!
